Happy Good Friday!
I’ve been pretty busy over the past few days, with the prep for my craft fair (which is tomorrow!). I have been getting everything ready: not just my cards and what not, but also my items like price labels and lists etc. One thing I knew I needed to do is make a few “pizza style” boxes for 4 of my cards. These 4 cards were pretty 3D and wouldn’t fit in a regular envelope (due to paper flowers etc.), so I’ve been busy making the boxes.
I made this box using my Ultimate Pro: start with a piece of pink card (or any coordinating colour) of size 9.5″x9.5″. This box will be 1″ deep and accomadate a 5″x7″ card. Then use your Ultimate Pro box board to score at line 2 (1″) all the way round. Then cut your little triangles out and fold your box up. More detailled instructions of how to make boxes come with the Ultimate Pro. If you want to see the post about how I made the card which goes in this box, it is here: https://madebylilly.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/all-things-flowery-and-girly/
Please remember: I still am selling some tickets for Ally Pally on the 13th and 14th April. I am selling 2 fast track tickets for a very resonable price. Please check them out if you are interested: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Two-2-Day-Tickets-to-The-Big-Stamp-and-Scrapbooking-Show-13th-14th-April-/111040628207?pt=UK_Tickets_Tickets_LE&hash=item19da8985ef They are only on sale until the 1st April and they are priced at just £10. Please spread the word to any crafty friends you may have! Thanks you lot: I hope I can get them shifted in just over 3 days otherwise they’re going to waste.
I will be back at 11:30am on the dot to post the much anticipated (well, I hope so at least the time it took to draw it!!) free download. Ooh, exciting I know!
Well, off to do some more craft prep for tomorrow, wish me luck! And happy good friday to you all and I hope you have a fab Easter – plenty of eggs of the chocolately sort I hope!!!
See you at 11:30 I hope!
Good job this post has appeared in full, eh?! I’m sharing a picture of a cute little rabbit Easter card I finished yesterday.
I started with a white pearlised 5″x5″ card blank. I then mated 2 pieces of patterend paper onto the card base. They are both free from Issue 104 of the fabulous Papercraft Inspirations. They’re goregous papers – I love them! I hid the join by adding a piece of yellow flowery ribbon. I mated by LOTV Rabbit image (which was, of course, coloured with Spectrum Noir markers) onto yellow card, and added this to my card blank. I then finished the card off with a curled hand written sentiment (a bit cheesy, I’m afraid!), a little hand-cut butterfly and some tiny punched yellow flowers. The punch is a mini boot punch from Tonic studios. It was quite quick this one: except the colouring! Ha! Anyway, talking of colouring; I’m still working on that colouring Accrediton thing for Spectrum Noir (sorry to sound a little vague!!). Not too far from finishing now, just a couple more images to finish and I’m done! I hope I’ll pass!
All for now,
I just posted the full post here, but it appeared blank!!! ARGH! Will just have to show the pictures, then. No time to write any more! So sorry! Grr, silly blog!
I’m cracking on (what a fab easter joke NOT!!!) with my easter cards this weekend. I need to get quite a few more done before my craft fair next weekend: that is, if it’s on. I don’t know what it’s like where you are, but it is snowing ten to the dozen down here! We’ve measured 24cm of the white stuff on our garden table! So, a little worried if the faie will be on or not! Go away snow, that’s what I say!!
Anyway less rambling, onto todays offering. Just a quick card, this one. Only took about half an hour, if that; which is very quick by my standards these days!
Quite simple this one, nothing incredibly special about it, I’m afraid to say.
I used: 5″x5″ white pearlised card blank, Tatty Teddy blue dotty paper, yellow/brown/orange card, flowery border strip from stash, paper buttons, sequins, doily (cut up), little circle embellishment and some notepaper to write my sentiment on.
Right, I’m off back to my seat by the heater, conjuring up some ideas for easter cards! Enjoy your weekend!
I’m afraid there probably won’t be any cards up for a few days! The download may take a little longer than first expected, too. This is simply because I have so much to do for my craft fair that’s coming up next Saturday (argh!). I’m hoping it won’t be as quiet as my first craft fair: I sold next to nothing! However, this one is quite a bit more expensive, so should be a bit more busy! Anyway, I’m getting on with lots of “admin”-y type things: like making price lists/price cards etc. It’s quite a bit of work – I’m sure you will know if you have ever done a craft fair yourself! Hopefully it’ll be a great day, though, with lots of sales and so on! I’ll tell you how I get on next week!
So in the meantime I wish you lots of happy crafting!
Just to let you know I’ve added the 3D rose tutorial to one of the pages at the top of the blog, so check it out if you will! I hope you like it! The link is here, too: https://madebylilly.wordpress.com/3d-rose-tutorial/
